Officials said at least one person died after a group of six on a waterfall in Oregon on Saturday afternoon, indicating a discovery and rescue mission, which continues due to the disappearance of two other people.

Officials have not shared details about the circumstances around Saturday’s incident. Deschutes County Sheriff Office Said It was initially reported before 3 pm local time, indicating reactions from local fire fighting officers and search and rescue teams as well as duties. According to the Sheriff Office, a person was confirmed dead on the site. Three other people were rescued from the river and rushed by an ambulance to a hospital to turn. The other two people visiting the falls were not found when the authorities released their final update on Saturday.
Sheriff’s office stated that the search and rescue team “continued the recovery efforts in the evening” and would work till sunset, with a plan to resume the morning operation if they could not find out the missing people.
Officials said that they are not identifying the victims and neither are left of the name “to allow for proper family notification.”
