Police said an investigation into a murder was going on in South Carolina, when two women bodies were found about 40 miles from Columbia in a rural area of Sumer County, police said.
A landlord found the dead bodies in a clean area on their land, Sumer County Sheriff Anthony Dennis said at a news conference on Tuesday. Dennis said that women were killed elsewhere before their body was deliberately kept in clearing.
The victims were identified by Christon Grisom, 38, and Christine Mary McBi, 35, Dennis. A dead body was found in the examination that McBi died of a gun bullet, Sumer County Coronor Robert M. Baker Junior said on Tuesday. Baker said that a corpse examination was going on for Grisom at the time of the news conference.

Baker said that Macabi’s death is being investigated as a murder, and Grisom’s death is being investigated as a possible murder. The death of Grisom will remain a possible murder until the corpse results are returned.
Baker said that women were dead about a day earlier. Fingerprints, DNA analysis and tattoos were used to identify women.
Police said Grisom was from North Charleston and Macabi was from Walterboro. Two women knew each other, Dennis said, but it is not clear how close they were.
