A 28 -member group of tourists from Kerala went missing after a large -scale slide and flash flood on Wednesday by CloudBust in Uttarakhand.
According to relatives quoted in a report by PTI news agency, the group was going from Uttarkashi from Gangotry at around 8:30 am.

Of the 28 persons missing, 20 are reported to be from Kerala, located in Maharashtra, while the other eight are from different districts of Kerala, a relative of a couple told PTI.
He also said that he had talked to him a day earlier, in which the couple said that he was leaving Gangotry. The landslide has occurred along the same route, and relatives are now unable to contact them. “We have been unable to contact them because they left,” he said.
The pair passed through a travel agency at Haridwar, who organized a 10-day Uttarakhand tour, but now they are unable to provide any updates.
“Their phones may be out of the battery so far. Currently there is no mobile network in that area.”

Uttarkashi cloudbers
Claudbers on Tuesday afternoon hit a ecological delicate region Dharali, and has so far claimed the lives of at least 4 people. According to officials, about half of the Dharli is buried under the widespread mudslide of debris, slush and water. The origin of Dharli Ganga is a popular stop on the route of Gangotry, and hosts many tourists every year.
Meanwhile, nine Indian Army personnel were also missing after the devastating floods in the Kheer Ganga River, which led to the destruction. Now the rescue efforts are going on, and 14 Rajrif Commanding Officer Col. Harsh Vardhan is engaged in significant relief work to 150 personnel.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid attention to the incident and spoke to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. In an X post, PM Modi said that the state government is overseeing the relief teams and every effort is being made to help the people.
