Bijnor: Three persons – two factory workers and their supervisors – died on Friday at BIJNOR in UTTAM SUGAR Mill of Barkatpur while cleaning an waste treatment plant (ETP). Another activist was seriously injured while trying to save him.45 -year -old supervisor of Kabulpur, Muneshwar Singh, 40 -year -old Kapil Dev from Tisotra, and 49 -year -old Sopal Singh from Lalpur were deployed to clean the ETP when he fell into a tank. Prabhat Kumar, jumped to save them, but could not. After struggling, he came out and raised an alarm.Other workers brought four people out of the tank and took them to a private hospital, where the three were declared dead on arrival. The fourth is recovering and stable. Dr. Birbal Singh said that preliminary findings suggest that the deaths occurred due to the breathing of poisonous gases generated as a result of the chemical reaction inside the tank.The families of the victims arrived at the mill after receiving the news and accused the management of the factory of compromising on security measures and demanded action.Bijnor SP (City) Sanjeev Vajpayee said, “The bodies were sent for post -mortem, and an investigation is on.
