Police have said that a four -year -old girl died after an incident in a swimming pool in a holiday attraction.
On Monday, the police was called to Waterworld, Hanley at Stoke-on-Trent on around 16:20 BST for a report of a girl in a critical condition.
Staffordshire police said that members of the employees and paramedics treated the girl at the scene before being taken to the hospital, where she died some time later. His next family has been informed.
DET C is Ispect Lucy Maskew said: “Now we are inquiring and looking to establish the circumstances of the incident.” He asked the public not to speculation in these initial stages of investigation.
A spokesman from the Waterworld said: “It is very sad that we learned about the passing of this little girl this evening.
“All our views are with his family and loved ones during these extremely difficult times.
The Waterworld is working closely with the authorities in this sad time. ,
It states that it will remain closed on Tuesday regarding the girl’s family.
Police said that the next family of the girl is being supported by specially trained officers.
