President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are all set to meet in a person for the first time in six years when they meet together in Ankrej, Alaska.
Here is the history of Trump’s high-dialogue with Putin during being the President of the United States:
2015 – Initial Mutual praise between Putin and Trump
Mutual appreciation between Putin and Trump was going on public in late 2015 when the Trump office was running for his first term.
In December that year, Putin describes Trump “Absolute leader in the presidential race” and a “very excellent person, talented, without doubt.”

Trump demanded the end of the Russia -Ucrain war with Putin in Alaska
Trump later told supporters at a rally in Ohio that “it is always a great honor that a person should be very honored within his own country and beyond.”
“I have always felt that Russia and the United States should be able to do good work with each other in the direction of defeating terrorism and restoring world peace, not mentioning all other benefits from business and mutual respect.” Hill.

Trump and Putin formally formally met the President’s Mahal in Helsinki, Finland on 16 July 2018.

2019 – Trump says, Putin had ‘tremendous discussion’ in Osaka, Japan
Trump told reporters On June 29, 2019, that he and Putin had a “tremendous discussion” at the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan.
Trump said at that time, “I think they want to trade with the United States. And they have great products. They have very good land. They have very rich land. And a lot of oil, a lot of minerals, and the kind of things we like,” Trump said at that time. “And I can see trading with Russia. We can do fictionally well. We do very little business with Russia, which is ridiculous, clearly. So I could see some very positive things.”

Trump also asked his counterpart not to “medal” in the 2020 elections, when pressed by a reporter, Fox News Digital wrote at that time.
Trump, who was sitting next to Putin, was asked a reporter whether he would not tell the Russian President not to pay attention to the election. ” Without looking at Putin, Trump replied, “Of course I will do. In the election, not the President. Do not pay attention to the election.”
2025 – Call between Trump and Putin as war in Ukraine

Trump and Putin are meeting on Friday in Encourage, Alaska for the first time in the years.

The high-stake meeting is the first US-Russia Summit since June 2021, which was under the administration of former President Joe Biden. Putin came to this summit just eight months before attacking Ukraine.

Trump has described the dialogue as a “feel-out meeting” and clarified that his top priority must determine whether a ceasefire is possible in Ukraine. Trump predicted earlier this week that he would be able to do that determination within the first “two minutes”.
