Alexander says that the promises by Newcastle United are “broken” and “relations cannot continue” because he forces through a exhaust in this summer.
Nineteen days have passed since Newcastle dismissed Liverpool’s £ 110m bid for Sweden International, which remain in a stand-off with the club on their future.
The BBC Sport understands that it believes that if a large club came to him and offered the right price, he will be allowed to leave the newcomel.
On Tuesday, it posted a statement on Instagram to explain why he was not in the presence of the professional Footballors Association Awards Gala, where he was nominated in the season’s Premier League team.
“I remained silent for a long time, while the other spoke,” he wrote.
“That silence has allowed people to carry forward their version of events, even though they know it does not reflect what was really said and agreed behind the closed doors.
“The reality is that promises were made and the club has long been known to my position. Now to act as if these issues are only emerging are misleading.
“When the promises break and the trust is lost, the relationship cannot continue. This is where things are for me – and why change is in the best interest of everyone, not only themselves.”
In a latter statement, a “disappointed” Newcastle said: “We are clear that the Alex is under contract and that there is never any commitment by the club official that Alex may leave Newcastle United in this summer.
“We want to keep our best players, but we also understand that the players have their own desires and we hear their views. As Alex and their representatives have been explained, we should always take into account the best interests of newly eunuch, team and our supporters are making all the decisions and we are clarifying that we do not fulfill the conditions of this summer.”
Its greatest talk of the summer window, which is closed on 1 September.
But Liverpool does not return with a better offer for a 25 -year -old child.
Will Reds bid again? Will he join the first-team training in the meantime? What happens if a deal is not completed by the time limit of 1 September?
BBC Sport has spoken to many sources in an attempt to get the latest on these questions and what could happen next.
