According to US media reports, American musician and satirist Tom Lehar died at the age of 97.

His death was confirmed by The New York Times by David Herder, a friend.
Born in 1928 in Manhattan, Lehrr was a classical trained pianist. But despite his music success, he spent most of his life academics chasing.
His teaching positions included mantras at Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of California.
