Critics are separating the latest campaign advertisement for New York City Mayor candidate Andrew Cumo, which shows the former Empire State Governor to help a partner New Yorker to help New Yorker, to jump his vehicle on the edge of a city street.
“New Yorker, start your engine … Together, we can fix this city!” Cuomo said in a post on Instagram which included the campaign video. “We can be for each other. We help. We do. And we will do together.”
Together the video starts downwards in the open engine compartment with cumo, while the engine indicates the driver to crank.
A clicking sound is heard when Cumo jumps into action, and the camera descends down to show the red cable in the hand of the black jumper cable and the mayor candidate attached to the negative battery terminal.

Cuomo then connects the red cable to the empty battery terminal, where he is going to the seat of the second vehicle before jumping, it is considered.
After starting the vehicle, Cuomo appears in its vehicle rearview mirror, and the shot switchs to the driver in another vehicle, which changes the key.
The car starts correctly, and the driver goes out with a smile on his face. He then slaps five with Kuoomo, although you do not see the face of the candidate.

Both are then seen talking later as Cumo hands over jumper cables to another driver.
While the video can give some a positive stretch to some, critics took every opportunity to slam the latest advertisement of Cumo.
One viewer wrote, “He tilted the cables in the wrong order,” while another wrote, “Hi Kuoom Media Team! Hope you leave it from your resume.”
Cumo’s marketing team was also accused in the comments of being out of contact with voters.

On arrival for comment on Wednesday, Cumo’s team told Fox News Digital that the reactions are “height of stupidity”.
The spokesperson said, “The governor is a trained mechanic who kept himself through a college running a tow truck for AAA.” “Permanent online trolls ruined their time, which was criticized that a fellow New Yorker would have to call AAA when he is in the same position. They should touch some grass.”
But not all the comments were negative towards Kuoomo. In fact, an audience praised the video and Kuomo’s campaign advertisement.
“Okay, let’s listen to those engines! Start your engine!” The audience wrote. “The kind of leadership that holds hands on experience and stops to help strangers in time of needs. Do not object to the hands dirty and always lending the hand. Compassionate and consider that we need more. Andrew Kuoom is that man!”

The former three-term governor, who is running a gun for a political return after resigning in 2021 among several scams, was defeated by Mamdani in Democrat Meyl Primary last month.
Mamdani’s primary victory over Cumo and nine other candidates shook the Democrat party, and promoted a 33 -year state assembly born from Queens to Uganda to become the first Muslim and first Millennial Mayor of the nation’s most populous city.
Cumo announced his decision to stay in a race in a video on Monday, saying, “Only 13% of New Yorkers voted in the primary of June. The general election is in November, and I am to win it.”

And Kuomo alleged, “My opponent, Mr. Mamdani Slik offers slogans but there is no real solution.”
While he accepted the victory of Mamdani in primary, Kuoomo left the door open for November run as an independent candidate, which election rules in New York State Permit.
