A cast member at the Royal Opera House overthrew a Palestinian flag on the stage during a curtain call on Saturday night.
The video shows a brief scuffle as an officer at the Central London site, which tries unsuccessfully to stop the protest, the artist refused to go to the big flag.
It came to the end of Il Trovatore at night, which was a four-act opera by Giuseppe Verdi.
Royal Ballet and Opera stated that the protest was “completely unfair to curtain calls”.
A spokesperson said: “The demonstration of the flag was a simple and unauthorized action by the artist.
“It was not approved by Royal Ballet and Opera and does not correspond to our commitment to political impartiality.”
Palestinian flags are usually seen in protests held in support of people living in Gaza as the war between Israel and Hamas continues.
In the video of the incident, a cast member is shown quietly displaying a large Palestinian flag standing on top of the stage, shaking it gently at a point.
While the audience has appreciated the performance, a person with stage wings attempts to remove the flag from the cast member, but they oppose it for the remaining calls of the curtain and hold on to it.
Two other artists, standing with the one who started the protest, stood with one, can be seen on their behalf because Tuss said while playing outside.
Further on the stage, members of some artists do not realize what is happening behind them.
Other officers standing in the wings can be seen shouting the message to the member who appears and ignores them.
Members of the spectators who spoke to the BBC said that a few were smelling during the protest. One said that the audience was largely helpful, but it is not clear how many performances were made to be happy.
Magdalini Liaosa from London described it as a “really powerful moment” and described the artists as “brave”.
But Glosop resident Christopher stated that the protest “spoiled the atmosphere at the end of a brilliant performance” and “the evening overshadled when we really wanted to show our gratitude”.
Meanwhile, another member who wished to remain anonymous, said that two attempts were made by man backstage to wrestle the flag from the cast member, and people were captured only the second “war tug” after taking out their phones.
The identity of artists is not clear.
Il Tovator has now finished his 11-ri run at the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden.
