Bhubaneswar: A 19 -year -old student tried to save his senior college partner and faced a burning, who set himself on fire in Balasore, Odisha, after accusing him of sexual harassment against a faculty member. Hemanta Pradhan said, “She burnt a matchstick. I moved towards her, but the flames immediately confused her. They touched my face and clothes.He is undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Cuttack with 15% Burns in the hospital. His father, a shopkeeper, said that his son was first taken to Balasore District Hospital before he was transferred to Cuttack on July 13. “Doctors are taking care of him. I hope the government ensures that he gets the best treatment,” he said. CM Mohan Charan Majhi called the student on Wednesday, while Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling said, “The government is taking necessary steps to provide him the best medical care”.
