A British teenager has told the court on a test for allegations of drug smuggling in Georgia that he hopes he would “be able to see my story through my eyes”.
Bella Kali, 19, Billingham, Tesoid, first appeared in Tabilisi City Court and said: “I never thought that something like this would happen to me.”
Miss Coolie may face up to 20 years in jail or life imprisonment if convicted.
During the court session, which lasted only for 30 minutes, he regularly exchanged the look and smiling with his mother Line Kennedy.
The teenager is pregnant and has gone through medical tests in recent times, her mother became emotional in court after learning her unborn grandson’s gender.
The prosecutor repeated the allegations against Miss Coolie.

Miss Coolie initially went missing in Thailand before he was arrested at TBILISI International Airport on 10 May.
