Officials say that earlier this month, a corpse in Turks and Caicos has been identified as the missing American tourist Brian Taurns.
The Royal Ottoman and Caikose Islands Police Force said in a statement on Wednesday that the body was identified using a dental record and a corpse “No signs of trauma, and at this time, there is no doubt of foul play. RT and CIPF continue to wait for the final autopsy and toxic science reports to complete the investigation.”
The statement said, “RT & CIPF expresses our condolences to Mr. Taurns’ family and friends during this difficult time. We thank the public for their patience and support as we continue the investigation.”

Taurnce from New York was on leave with his wife and was last seen walking away from his hotel on the morning of 25 June.
The police brought him to a private investigator to find him.
On July 5, police said they found “the body of a dead man in a disintegrated state” in the Grace Bay area.
