Bristol Motor Speedway is ready to make dual history by hosting the first Major League Baseball game in Tennessee, and in front of a record crowd.
The stage – or in this case the racetrack – has been set for the biggest crowd for a regular season baseball game in league history at Saturday night’s MLB Speedway Classic between the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds.
“The way the venue looks really is something that you can put on paper, but you really can’t get a true vision of it until you actually put grandstands on the infield of the track, and you put 3,500 seats in the middle of 87,000 seats,” Jeremiah Yolkut, MLB’s senior vice president of global events, said Friday.
“Those things just don’t become a reality until you actually see them.”
What fans will see Saturday is a baseball diamond tucked inside the infield of the half-mile bullring at Bristol. A temporary grandstand wraps around both sidelines with a press box at the top. The track’s Colossus videoboard hovers over foul territory along the third base line. Any balls hit off Colossus will be foul.

The three-time all-star scene Casey played in March 2008 for the biggest crowd to watch a baseball game with 115,300 in Los Angeles Coliseum between Red Socks and Dozers. Casey said on Friday that the energy from fans that day was “incredible”.
After broadcasting with the MLB network, KC said after spending time on this field, “I think Reds and Braves are taking the region with more than 90,000 people in Bristol Motor Speedway, taking this area, going away from the energy chart for this game.”
MLB did not try to top the 2008 mark for appearance, closing the seats in 3 and 4 on the track with a racing capacity of 146,000. Officials on Monday announced that more than 85,000 tickets were sold in the presence of the previous payment of 84,587 sets September 12, 1954, when Cleveland Stadium hosted New York Yancis.
Yolkut said that there is a difference between the game of now and 2008. This is a regular season game and not an exhibition. The game was not only about setting up people to set people to set a record and tell people to see the game on the videoboard.

“We thought that as possible as minimal obstruction seats and to ensure that the fans coming are going to have a great experience,” said Yolkut.
Reds kept the brave 3–2 in Cincinnati on Friday afternoon.
It gave all time to all to prepare for the spectacle of Saturday. The teams have separate clubhouses, the rear of the baseball field’s grandstand and the braws before the right field fence next to the track wall.
At a distance of a few miles, Braves threw a watch party at the Bristol Paramount Theater for Friday’s game. The entry was free with the available memento and the concession was open with a large screen scene.
To ensure that fans arrived in early Saturday, MLB also has a plan.
Outside the huge walls of the speedway, MLB fan zone has 110 feet ferris wheel, food trucks, pitching tunnels and batting cages and team mascot. Tim Macgra and Pitbul will title a large pre-game concert inside the Bristol.
A flyover is planned, and Chipper Jones and Johnny Bench will handle the first pitch.

Fans on Thursday got a chance to see history to take advantage of Bristol’s campground. A group of fans of Braves came from Charlston, South Carolina and installed tents. 40 -year -old Rich Lorenzo is watching Braves as he grew up in Columbus, Georgia.
Lorenzo said, “I am super excited because here I actually run Bristol here in two different cars, and it is good to come for something other than racing,” Lorenzo said he was sitting next to his tent. “So this is actually a really amazing phenomenon. Plus, the first major league baseball game in Tennessee.”
The 124,000 square -foot Astroturf will be better donated to East Tennessi State University as part of MLB as part of the MLB simultaneously. ETSU has taken 45 players in MLB draft.
The event also organized an STEM program in Infield on Friday. About 60 members of the local boys and girls clubs found to show science and mathematics behind the baseball, which to run the bases or quick reactions required for players and NASCAR drivers.
April Brown, Senior Vice President of MLB of social responsibility, said, “We get an opportunity to invest in the community that is hosting us.” “So it is incredibly important for our MLB for the pillar simultaneously because education and partnership is important about what we want to invest.”
