Bernley MP Oliver Ryan has to return the Labor Party Whip next month, the BBC has learned.
Was MP Suspended from party in February On its membership of a WhatsApp group with other labor MPs and councilors, which included aggressive messages.
Mr. Ryan issued an apology at the time, in which he said that the comments in the group had named Trigger Me Timbers, “completely unacceptable” and regretted “not speaking at that time”.
A spokesperson of the Labor Party said: “The party will not hesitate to take action against the members who decrease from high standards to suit our rules and procedures”.
The messages sent to the WhatsApp group named Trigger Me Timbers were informed to make fun of a Labor MP for his sexuality and to discredit the vice -president of the local Labor Party.
He has been contacted for comment.
The BBC understands that the party’s complaint process is going on in relation to Andrew Guen, Gorton and Denton MPs.

Labor suspended 11 councilors in Greater Manchester for its roles in the group, established to coordinate the election campaign of Labor in the local region.
Two Temside councilors, George Newton and Jack Niler are now expelled from the party, as well as stockport councilor Andrew Wordil, BBC.
Temside councilors Alison Gin and Claire Reid were handed over six months of suspension from the party, while Temside councilors George Jones, Vincent Rikki and Branda Warington were given a formal warning.
No further action was taken against the Temside Councilor Dennis Ward.
Two stockport councilors, David Sedwick and Holi McCormac resigned during the investigation, as Temside Councilor Charlotte Martin.
A labor spokesperson said that the party “took fast action as soon as he became aware of the activity in this WhatsApp group”.
“These cases have been thoroughly investigated, in line with the rules and procedures of the labor party.
“We can’t comment further on any ongoing investigation.”
