If you feel that electric trucking means buying a brand-new semi, then think again. Thanks to California-based Startup Revoy, long-hall trucks are now being upgraded with a stunning turn. Their electric boost does not replace diesel, but works with it to cut the cost of emission and fuel without major disruption.
In 2025, transport was the top source of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States. And for the first time, heavy duty trucks excluded passenger vehicles how much pollution they produce. How an electric dolly immediately converts diesel trucks

It is not just about the range. Revoy’s Dolly also converts any diesel rig into a clever, safe machine. Using embedded sensors and cameras, Dolly monitors blind spots and feeds real -time data to the driver’s smartphone app. This increases lane stability, helps correct steering in crosswinds, and distributes regenerative braking that recharge the battery. It also enables automatic reversal, especially useful for tight yard and dock.
The best part? Drivers do not need to learn anything new. There is no additional dashboard. The truck drives as is always accompanied by additional power, additional control and additional protection.
EV Battery Swapping makes truck fast and easier
Charging has always been a weak point in electric freight. Even the fastest chargers take 30 minutes or more time to top the truck battery. Revoy completely dodged. Instead of plugging inside, the truck drivers drag into a Revoy swap station and exchange their deficiency Dolly for a freshly charged one. This process takes about five minutes, which is faster than the diesel tank is fueling.

Revoy created its Dolly system for the US-style single-trailer rigs, but the idea could be on a scale globally. Instead of waiting for an hour for a charger, imagine swaping a charge doli in the outback.
Other countries with Canada and twin-trailer B-Dabbles will require a modified version, but the main concept remains powerful: electrifying trucks without replacing trucks. The technique is modular. Logistics are scalable. The capacity is on a large scale.
