Congress Lok Sabha MP Imran Masood defended the use of the opposition of Minta Devi’s picture in Sir Ro, Bihar, saying that his permission was not required since information came from the Election Commission records.
He said that the woman is being “oppressed” and the Congress party is against it.
“Why do we need his permission? We took his name from the Election Commission records. According to the Election Commission records, he is listed as 124 years, and I have a record. Where is his permission required?” Masood told the news agency PTI.
The Congress leader said, “If she goes to vote tomorrow, people will ask her that she is 124 years old. It personally has nothing to do with her. She is getting oppressed, and we are standing against that harassment,” said the Congress leader.
After expressing anger over the Congress leaders, Minta Devi replied, asked, “Gave them right” to wear that picture of wearing T-shirts.
Senior Congress leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi and Gaurav Gogoi, were seen wearing a picture and name of Minta Devi with ‘124 Not Out’ inside the Parliament complex on Tuesday, with ‘124 Not Out’.
The leaders alleged that the woman was registered as a 124 -year -old voter, who had grown nine years older than the oldest person in the world.
“Who are they for me (opposition MPs)? Who is Priyanka Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi for me? Who gave me the right to wear T-shirts?” Minta Devi told the news agency Annie.
However, he also accepted discrepancies in his voter details and demanded improvement. According to his Aadhaar card, his date of birth is July 15, 1990, and he criticized his registration as 124 -year -old.
Minta Devi, a resident of Siharan district of Bihar, was one of the voters revealed in the presentation of Rahul Gandhi on alleged voters fraud. He had claimed that he was listed in the recently released draft voter list of Election Commission at the age of 124 years.
