He was first 10 years ago to attack an 82-year-old man in Walton-on-the-The-Matia in Essex.
Anita’s family was in a court room for Wednesday sentence.
Prosecutor Christopher Pasteton KC underlined 11 aggressive factors in the case to consider his sentence for the judge.
These included the use of Barkle’s “continuous and excessive violence”, publicly murdered, and the theft and taking of Anita’s property.
Mr. Paxton said that the defendant had also broken the terms of his parole license after the 2015 attack.

The statements of many of his children were read in court.
He talked about his mother’s love to walk and how he was the “center” of his family.
Anita’s partner, Richard Jones, revealed how the couple “planned to grow old” and he was harassed by her death.

Judge Levet said that Barkle was an “unexpected, dangerous” man, who was “prone to the terrible outbreak of violence”.
He said how in 2015 an “helpless” 82 -year -old attack, he beat up the pensioner for 53 seconds, causing serious injuries.
Barkle served only five years in jail before he was released on parole, but Judge Levet told him that there should have been enough time to work on his “nature”.
When Barkle violated the terms of his license in 2022, he became a desired person and was running away from the police.
Judge Levet also questioned why Barkle chose to keep quiet by not answering police questions when he was arrested or why he did not give evidence in his test.
He said: “We, perhaps, will never know what this outbreak of violence against Anita did.
“You are still, and will remain, for an unexpected length, this dangerous person.”
Barkle first convicted him for a large -scale living after returning to jail.
For this, he was sentenced to 12 months in jail which would run concurrently with Anita’s life sentence for his murder.
