A military vehicle belonging to the DC National Guard crashed into a civil car in the Capital Hill neighborhood of Washington on Wednesday morning, Fox News Digital learned.
The accident occurred in Washington amid the crack of President Donald Trump on crime. The President announced schemes on August 11 to make the metropolitan police department federal to deploy soldiers from DC National Guard and address crime in the country’s capital.
The fire department of Washington confirmed that a military vehicle collided with a civil car and a person was treated for minor injuries as a result of an accident.

“One of the two vehicles was a military vehicle,” DC Fire spokesman Vito Magiolo said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “A person was to be removed as a result of an accident and was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The accident occurred at 8th Street and North Carolina Avenue SE.”
The DC National Guard confirmed that its mine-resistant ambush was involved in the accident at around 6:14 am and the case was under investigation.
DC National Guard said in a statement to Fox News Digital, “Five-vehicle convoy and a DC Metropolitan Police Cruiser provided and assisted the citizen, which was” taken through emergency medical services, DC National Guard said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “It is currently undergoing an investigation. DC National Guard and (Joint Task Force-DC) are committed to the safety of our service members and public.”

Trump has collected 800 DC National Guard soldiers as part of his effort to reduce crime in Washington.
Similarly, other states have promised to send their own national guard soldiers to assist in an effort to curb the crime of the Trump administration. The National Guard soldiers of Ohio, West Virginia, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessy have been taped to join the action of Trump administration in Washington, and about 1,300 have already come to the country’s capital.
The White House stated that the National Guard soldiers would protect federal property, provide a “safe environment” to law enforcement officers and “a visual appearance to prevent crime.”
