Dwite is the first black astronaut candidate and the oldest man to go into space. The 91 year old also has ownership Many successful businesses During its extraordinary life and a national level famous sculptor.
He says, in many ways, his destiny was written by his mother.
He said, “He defeated in my brain that anyone who had educationally benefited or was owned to the rest of the community financially,” he said.
That principle has directed him throughout his life. He says that when President John F. Kennedy asked him to attend the astronaut training program in 1961, so he did not want. His mother said that it was not what he wanted.
“He said” you get out better and do so. We need it as an inspiration for the black community, “he said.

But Dwite says that after Kennedy’s assassination, progress turned into prejudice and racism, resigning him. Forced to strengthen themselves, he took a job at IBM in Colorado, where he says he was tapped to be the first black vice -president of the company.
“I said once it was done through that first black cheese and it did not work so well,” he said.
He became his own owner instead of running an aviation counseling business, restaurant and a real estate and construction company.
“We had lizets flying across the country,” he said.
In his spare time, he started sculpture.
Dwite said, “At the end of the day, I will take my Mercedes and Drives (Construction) sites and pick up all the metals that were laying Ard and I started making art,” Dwite said.
His artwork grabbed the eye of George Brown, the first black lieutenant governor of Colorado, who asked Dwite to do a sculpture for the state capital.

“He told me that ‘you want to give something to the world,” Dwite said. “We have got to spread the word. We have art in almost every city to remind both black and white communities that black people did something in this country.”
Once again, the dwight was called to do better than before.
“So, I got rid of all my companies and ended where I am today,” he said.
He is a acclaimed artist who has built about 20,000 gallery pieces and more than 130 monuments dedicated to black history.
“I am a very happy man,” they say.
But his life was not complete till last year, when he was Offering a seat on blue origin,
“I said I don’t care whether I had gone up or not. I lied,” he said.
This was a moment for which he trained, but, he was not ready for what he saw.
He said, “Look at that beautiful small place, how much it has been held, how well it has been ordered,” he said, referring to the earth from space.
Ed Dwight – A man fully knows how ugly the world can be – see beauty. He is not the first black astronaut, but he is the oldest to go into space.
Dwite is considered for the gold medal of Congress for his achievements in aviation and art.
He is not stopping his breath.
“The thing we are facing is forcing people to remember things,” he said.
Things that were meant to break the ad dwight. But he rose above all, and lifted others with him.
They are called a space pioneer living legend, and trailblazer, but, a different idea for their heritage.
“I am just a man who wants to make it a better world, better for everyone – black people, white people, everyone.”
