From “Elegator Alkatraz” to a new “exile depot,” Florida says it is moving forward in implementing federal immigration laws.
Florida village Ron Desantis announced on Thursday that a new immigration preventive center “exile depot” would open a new immigration prevention center “exile depot” in the former jail in Sanderson, the state, which would expand the ability to capture the state and extend the ability to extend the migrants.
The new feature will be located in the Baker Reform Institute, about 43 miles west to the west of Jacksonville and 1,300 beds will initially be held and may be expandable up to 2,000.

Desantis said that the convenience, which is inactive since 2021, will build crocodiles in Everglades on the success of Alkatraz and is expected to be operational in two to three weeks with Staffing by Florida National Guard and state contractors.
Desantis said in a press briefing, “There is a large part in the baker reformer here which is empty and is not being used for any state reform activity.” “Talk about the prepared infrastructure, this is something that is very attractive from that point of view.”
Desantis avoided the relative ease of establishing a northern fluorida feature in a Preexisting gel and the economy, which estimated the build-out cost $ 6 million. The state has committed to the creation of a huge network of tents and trailers in the south facility in the rugged and remote florida swamp as compared to hundreds of crores of dollars.
Desantis said about the state jail, “This part of the convenience is not being used for the state prisoners right now. It just gives us the ability to go inside, standing it quickly, standing cheaply,” Desantis said about the state jail, the site was “prepared”.
The new facility is being made as part of the effort to deport millions of people of the Trump administration, who brought floods in the country under the Biden administration.
Desantis stated that Florida has an estimated 50,000 to 100,000 illegal migrants who already have final orders to remove, but have not yet been deported. He postponed the participation of the state and local law enforcement agencies in ICE operations with the latest step to expand the 287 (G) program of Florida, where state officials collaborate with ICE.

Trump says
Desantis praised the “maritime changes” of the Trump administration in policy to enable Florida highway patrol to legally implement immigration laws during traffic stops.
“We have done more on this by a country mile than in any other state,” he said. We will apply laws, we will catch the line, and we will continue to distribute the results.
Desantis had planned to open a second detention facility at the Florida National Guard training facility known as Camp Branding, about 30 miles south -west in the south -west of Jacksonville. The long -standing military establishment was a major US army training facility during World War II and according to the convenience website, serves as the “continuation of the government” site for the Executive Branch of Florida.

But announcing the plans on Thursday, Desantis stated that the baker facility was a better fit due to the capacity and proximity to a regional airport.
“Blanding has air capacity, but perhaps not a big enough runway to handle large aircraft,” desntis said.
Desantis said that in the new Baker facility, detainees will get similar services on the Everglade site and air conditioned, which is not necessary under the Florida jail standards.

American District Judge Kathleen Williams said the feature, which is built between Florida Everglades, can continue migrant prisoners, but no one can add new infrastructure capacity.
The ruling prevents new construction, including filling for a 14-day period, installation of paving, new infrastructure, and establishment of new lighting, while the convenience parties involved in a lawsuit on the facility completed their hearing on a resolution for initial prohibition.
