Kelly Hodgakinson of Great Britain made a world lead in the 800 -meter world after winning gold at the Paris Olympics.
The 23 -year -old was sidelined for 376 days with a hamstring injury, but returned to action in Silesia in worldly fashion on Saturday.
Hodkinson set a new meeting record of 1: 54.74 to explain well to Kenya’s Lillian Odira and Botswana’s Ortile Now.
The British time was its second fastest – and Paris is the fastest by any runner since her victory in the 800 meter finals in 2024.
“It was very fun,” he said. “It’s amazing, I really wanted this opportunity.
“I don’t have much time to get ready for the world, so I have to keep something down.”
The World Championship in Tokyo runs on 13 September and lasts till 21 September.
