The Vandle “Inspired by Social Media Like” has been convicted for drying a section of the canal.
The Canal and River Trust (CRT) stated that it was dealing with the influences of people who reduced the impact of people from Trent and Mercy Canal on Staffordshire border near Kidsgrove on Saturday.
The incident included a two-mile stretch of the waterways between the locks 44 and 54, the trust said, every lock was opened.
The Cheshire police confirmed that it was made aware of the incident, which was believed to have happened between 21:00 and 22:00 BST, and the inquiry was on.
It has been filled again since the canal stretch, but the CRT said the issue may lead to “large -scale problems” for boats in water living areas and wildlife.
A trust spokesman said, “We believe that this barbarity is inspired by people looking for social media choice.”
Despite the refill, the locks with stretch were closed for navigation, as very little water was released in the supply of reservoirs, the trust said.
In response to barbarity, the authorities chained and “save the water that has left the water”.
“Another such incident may be destructive,” said the trust spokesman. “Please respect any advice indication, which are meant to protect people and protect the canal.”
A spokesman for the Cheshire Police said that anyone who had any information about the incident should contact 101 or through the force website.
