The M5’s 6.5 miles (10.5 km) stretch has been stopped after an accident, police said.
The Devon and the Cornwall police said that both directions of the motorway between Junction 28 and Junction 29 in Kulompton were closed after an accident after involving several vehicles on the A30 on Sunday morning.
He said that no one was considered seriously injured, but was closed to allow the North-East Carriageway to land the air ambulance.
The north -pre -segment was later opened, but the carriageway remained closed to the south while cleaning the debris, he said.
