Police said former England captain Paul Ip has been accused of drinking-driving after crashed into central reservation.
East-Maintster United and Liverpool Midfielder were arrested on Saturday at Czeor High Road in Neston, Viral after a black range rover crashed on 17:00 BST.
The Cheshire police said that the 57 -year -old has been granted bail to appear in the Chester Magistrate Court on July 18.
Former Blackburn Rovers and Blackpool Manager, who also played for West Ham United and Inter Milan, won 53 caps for his country and played in the Euro 96 and World Cup in 1998.
He became Captain England’s first black footballer in 1993.
After retiring, he went into management, recently working to study between 2022 and 2023.
A spokesman for the Cheshire police said that the officials are called “after the report of the collision on Chester High Road, Neston”.
The spokesman said, “The incident included a black range rover that collided with the central reservation barrier.”
“Officials attended the spot and arrested a 57 -year -old man.”
