Chief Election Commissioner Gyanash Kumar on Sunday assured that the Election Commission officials of India are working towards making special intensive amendments in Bihar a “big success”.
Gyanash Kumar mentioned that the doors of the Election Commission are always open to all and the pole body is working with all in a “transparent” manner.
It has recently been on the special intensive amendment (SIR) of the electoral role in Bihar’s Pol-Bound State amidst the heavy criticism of ECI by opposition parties.

“The truth is that all stakeholders are committed step by step, working hard to make the head of Bihar full of success. When more than seven crore voters of Bihar stand with the Election Commission, neither the credibility of the Election Commission nor the credibility of the voters can be raised any question mark,” Sec Genash Kumar said in a media briefing in a media briefing.
Gyanash Kumar mentioned that the doors of the Election Commission are always open to all and the pole body is working with all in a “transparent” manner.
“Election Commission doors are always equally open to all. At the ground level, all voters, all political parties and all booth-level officers are working together in a transparent manner, verify, signs, sign and give video admirers. The ground is being tried to create confusion by ignoring the ground reality,” Jnanash Kumar said.
He said that 1.6 lakh booth level agents (BLA) have prepared a voter list in Bihar and so far, voters have submitted a total of 28,370 claims and objections.
“Sir has been launched in Bihar. 1.6 lakh booth level agents (BLA) have prepared a draft list … As this draft list was being prepared in every booth, the booth level agents of all political parties verified it with their signature … Voters have presented a total of 28,370 claims and objections.”
Earlier on August 16, the Election Commission of India (ECI) said that the time to raise issues about the errors in the electoral rolls, even in the past, was during the “claims and objections” periods.
According to the EC, there was an accurate objective behind sharing the electoral rolls with all political parties and candidates to raise any issue about the same on time. The constitutional body raised the issue of political parties and their booth level agents, who were not investigating the electoral rolls at the appropriate time.
It said that digital and physical copies are shared with recognized political parties after the publication of the final election roll on the EC website.
“Recently, some political parties and individuals have been raising issues about errors in electoral rolls, including those designed in the past. The appropriate time to raise any issue with the electoral role would be during the stages and objections of the phase, which is the purpose behind sharing the electoral rolls with all political aspects and candidates,” an officially.
“These issues were raised at the right time through the correct channels, so it would have enabled the concerned SDM Eros to correct the mistakes, if the real, before those elections, the release read.
