In a new AI war, XAI CEO Elon Musk has accused Apple of taking favor to Maker Openai, who chats in the app store rankings. Reportedly, Musk is claiming that Apple is deliberately challenging for other AI companies to reach top positions in the app store. In recent months, XAI has initiated Grocke many new features and progresses, one of the most difficult contestants among other companies. Despite the progress, neither Groke nor X is listed in top apps.
Elon Musk targeted Apple’s app store ranking
Elon Musk shared an X post (East Twitter), in which Apple was targeted to manipulate the app store rankings directly. Musk said, “Hey @Apple App Store, why do you refuse to put either X or Groke in your ‘section’, when x is #1 news app in the world and Grocke is #5 of all apps? Do you play politics? What do you want to know what the inquiries give”
In a separate post, Musk threatened the apple with legal action against an inequality antitrust violation. “Apple did not just keep his thumb on a scale, he put his entire body!” Musk said in the post.
The war came soon when Openi introduced its new generation AI model, GPT -5. Whereas, XAI also introduced Grok 4 last month, and it recently freed the AI model for all users worldwide. Now, the company stepped into the data 5th in the data from the app data. Despite all efforts, Xai still ranks under Openai’s chat.
Now, responding to Musk’s claims, Openai CEO Sam Altman also joined the argument, “It is a notable claim that it is a remarkable claim that seeing what I heard, to manipulate Alone X, it does to benefit himself and his companies and harm his companies and people.”
Currently, the reason behind the sudden attack on Apple and Openai is unknown. It is estimated that it is only a growing competition and quarrel between XAI and Openai, which we have already seen. Therefore, the ongoing competition would probably move forward as Musk continued to post about the case on X, drawing the user’s attention.
The quarrel is also expected to be bound by Musk’s previous contribution to start openi. However, later he left the company and formed his AI company, which we now know as XAI. The company is now in direct competition with Openai, so increasing competition and controversy can be a reason.
