England’s dramatic euro 2025 against Spain was the most watched television moment of the last win, with 12.2 million peak live audiences in all BBC platforms.

Cloe Kelly, who scored an additional time winner in the Euro 2022 final against Germany in Vambali, replaced the decisive spot-kick to seal Vijay, while England’s keeper Hanna Hampton saved two Spain Penalty.
Lionus’s victory was 11.6 million over BBC One – 59% of all TV audiences – also in a match shown on ITV.
The BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport website and app had additional 4.2 million sections of the match, while the live page of BBC Sport had 11.4 million times.
Overall, the BBC’s TV coverage of the tournament reached 22.1 million audiences and had a total of 231 million views in the social media accounts of BBC Sport.
