New Delhi: Congress chief Mallikrajun Kharge on Friday launched a fierce salvo on reservation in Prime Minister Narendra Modi, questioning the Prime Minister’s claim of being backward.Addressing a party-organized Bhagatri Nyay Mahasammelan, Kharge claimed that PM Modi wants to be “harassing everyone” and he wants to be a “alone survivor”.“PM Modi calls himself backward, even though he was once belonging to an upper-caste community. It was only after becoming the Chief Minister that he included his community in the back list without notice. In fact, most of us only discovered that he came to know about it only after becoming Prime Minister.”Kharge further said: “When he started with deceit. When he interacted with the communities at the back, he would present himself as one of them. He claimed that the Congress was harassing him. But when we ever gave him trouble? On the contrary, he is harassing everyone. Tum sabko mitti mein mila ke tum akela zinda rehna chahte hain (You want to bury everyone and only be a living person). But this will not happen. It can work once, twice, three times, but it will not go forever. ,Kharge said that PM Modi is not ready to give reservation to those who have no voice, and he is the “chieftain of Jhuthan”. “According to the Constitution, there is 60 percent reservation, but PM Modi does not want to give reservation to those who are academic, socially and economically backward. PM Modi is not ready to give reservation to those who have no voice. We have to make them a bow. We have to tell them with unity that we are not less,” Kharge said.The Congress chief alleged that the PM “lie” about giving MSP to farmers, jobs and black money.“PM Modi’s only task is to tell lies, but I do not understand why people have not hit … He promised to provide two crore jobs, bring back black money and brought back Rs 15 lakh to everyone … Everything was a lie. This is the reason that I call PM Modi the ‘Sardar of Jhuthan’.
