For the days, Imtiaz Ali was keenly waiting for the conclusions of an initial report in the last month’s Air India Crash, killing his brother, sister -in -law and his two young children.
When the report was finally released in India in early Saturday, he read it carefully – only to be disappointed with “the product description”.
“Apart from the final conversation of the pilots, there is nothing that actually gives the cause of the accident.”
He hopes that more details will be made public in the coming months.
“It matters to us,” said Ali. “We want to know what has really happened. It will not change anything for us now, we continue to mourn – as we have from that day. But at least we will have some answers.”
London-Bound Air India Flight 171 crashed in a suburban neighborhood in Ahmedabad, a suburban city in Ahmedabad immediately after the la-off on 12 June, killing 241 out of 242 people and 19 others on the land.
An initial discovered report released on Saturday in India said that the fuel of the aircraft was cut by fuel after a few seconds of the take-off. The circumstances about how or why have happened remains unclear.
The report said that in the recovered cockpit voice recording, one of the pilots can be heard asking “Why did you cut?” – To which the other pilot replied that he “did not do so”.
A final report in the accident is expected to be in 12 months.
Shweta Parihar, 41, also wants an answer. Her husband Abhinav Appears, 43, went back to London. He was later to fly in the month, but decided to come home early and ended on a sick flight.
She says that no investigation will ever bring her husband back.
“People who have lost the loved ones, we have lost them, they are not coming back,” he said.
“What will they do in the investigation, tell us how this happened? How many people, the life of 250 passengers, what will they say, forgive? Everything is done, everything is over.”
When she talks about the impact of loss on her 11 -year -old son vigor, Pari becomes emotional.
“He remembers his father badly,” he said to the tear. Vihaan tells him that he will not blow up Air India again.
59 -year -old Badasab Syed lost his brother, sister -in -law and two children in an accident.
He was expecting a response from the initial report, but after seeing the news, he said he was left with more questions.
“The report mentions that pilots have been discussed who has closed a possible issue with fuel closure and fuel control switch. We don’t know what it means? What was it?”
Badasab Syed says that his younger brother, Inat Syed, was the heart of the 49 family. By losing it, his wife and children have broken the whole family. Grief has been particularly difficult on his 83 -year -old mother, Bibi.
“Losing her son and grandson has made her weak. I think she is not able to tell us how she feels,” she said.
