Washington – Federal Reserve Governor Adriana Kugler will step quickly from his post in the Central Bank’s board, Fed on Friday announced, making an open position to fill President Trump.
Vacancy for Mr. Trump comes at an important time, which has pressurized the fed to cut interest rates. The replacement of Kugler will sit on a 12-member committee that sets the interest rate target.
Kugler was nominated by former President Joe Biden to serve as a governor and has been in the role since September 2023. His resignation is effective from 8 August. According to Kugler Fed, Returning to the University of Georgetown to serve as a professor.
