A fire fighting service helped save a teenage fox that got stuck between a garden shed and a fence.
On July 1, RSPCA was called for a property in Luton to help the trapped animal.
Initially, Animal Rescue Officer Mark Richardson tried to remove the fox by covering him in sunflower oil, while thrown out of the interval, but space tightness meant the risk of injuring the animal.
He sought help from the Stopsley Community Fire Station, which used the hydraulic tool to open the space, allowing the officer to grab Fox. The South Essex Wildlife Hospital then treated animal injuries in the waist area.
The hospital released her back into the wild after a month’s rehabilitation.
Mr. Richardson said: “It is the best part of the job by looking at an animal that you have helped and rehabilitated and left back into the wild.
“After a month care and a four -hour round trip, Fox did not wait to thank, as he quickly disappeared in the bushes.
“This was a great, a pleasant end to a team effort to rescue.”
