Brazilian goalkeeper Fabio Divason Lops Machall broke the record conducted by former England’s former International Peter Shilton for the most competitive appearance in world football, calling his club Fluminance.
The 44-year-old made his 1,391th appearance in the final 16 of Copa Sudamerikana-defeating America Dey Callie 2–0 in the South American counterpart-Marakana of the Europe League.
Fabio made his professional debut in 1997 and spent his entire career in Brazil, which represented Aniao Bandirant, Atletico Paraonans, Vasco da Gama, Kruziro and Floated.
Most of his performances came in Kruziro (976) between 2005 and 2022, while he made 150 for Vasco da Gama and 30 for Aniao Bandirante.
