A spokesperson said the 48 -hour strike has been closed due to going ahead at the Glasgow Airport next week.
Nearly 100 workers were determined to participate in the industrial action next Thursday in the dispute over salary.
Due to the walk out, the members of the Unite Union include airside support officers, engineers and managers.
A spokesman for the Glasgow Airport said: “We have been informed by Unite that the industrial action employed from 24 to 26 July has been suspended to allow further communication about our salary proposal of 4%.”
Industrial action would have fallen during the traditional Glasgow Fair Fortnight and the busy summer months of the airport.
These are the first summer holidays when the airport was purchased by Avialian.
The company completed a deal to buy owners of AGS – Glasgow, Aberdeen and Southampton Airports – for £ 1.53BN in January.
Unite has been approached for comments.
