The roads have been closed after the collapse of an abusive tenment building in Glasgow and the nearby houses have been evacuated.
The building crashed shortly after midnight at the corner of the Kenmusure Street and Albert Drive in the polekshilds.
Former River City actor and composer Tom Uri, who was running the last at the time, said he had a lucky migration, compared to “Indiana Jones Film”.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it sent eight equipment to the spot, but there was no reports of injuries.
The building has been lying for almost five years after the fire broke out during the lockdown.
Locally living Uri told how he was returning home from a party’s moments before falling down.
BBC told Scotland News, “I started listening to strange noise and first I felt that people were breaking things there.”
“I thought it was a strange time of the night to demolish something.
“It became clear that something was going to be terrible so I crossed the road and got round and saw the entire front of the building collapse.”
The mobile phone footage recorded by Uri suggests that the walls were left “hanging by thread” on the dust cloud and Albert drive flowing under the road after falling towards the Canmure Street.
Uri, who played the role of “Big Bob” O’Hara in River City, told how easily he ran away for his life.
“I realized that I was not running since the age of eight, so it seemed that 56 -year -old Indiana Jones was running away from a overweight building.
“I was very frightened, but it was also a shame because it was such a beautiful old tenment.”
The tenment block was one of the two buildings damaged by the fire within the same months at the same intersection several years ago.
Uri said the burn-out shell was closed and there was no access to the pavement, but there was local concern about its safety for some time.
“We are all really worried because it looks insecure and it has been sitting for so long to do anything,” he said.
A spokesperson of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “Many nearby residences were vacated because the firefighters worked to make the building safe”.
The final firefighters left the scene at around 03:00.
The area was closed on Saturday morning, while the authorities inspected the site.
