The Goa Assembly has passed a bill presenting strict measures and heavy punishment against public disturbances and unauthorized activities at tourist destinations across the state.
State Tourism Minister Rohan Kahunte on Friday introduced the Goa Tourist Place (Protection and Maintenance) Amendment Bill, 2025, which aims to strengthen the 2001 Act by expanding the definition of “nuisance” and up to the right extent. 1 lakh.

The bill also introduces Section 10A, which makes a biennial review of the fine by the government, which allows a review of up to 10 percent to a revision of up to 10 percent every two years, based on the recommendations by the competent authority.
