Google Pixel devices have painted private space function since Android 15. This provides a convenient way to secure specific apps and files on your pixel device. While adding apps to private location, it is not as comfortable to move the files behind an additional layer of safety. However, this may soon change, as Google is reportedly working on simplifying the process of copying and transferring files to private location, according to a new new. Report By Android Authority.
Currently, when you open a private location, there is a “installed” button, and it lets you add new apps to the private location. However, in the latest Google Android Canary Build, the “Install” button is being replaced by the “Ed” button. And then the “add” button will later expand into two options: “Install the apps”, which will launch the dedicated Play Store, and then there is a second option, which is going to “add files”, which will open files by Google.
Now from there, the report states, you will be able to switch to the individual tab and see your files in the main profile that you really want to move to a private location. However, boundaries are going to be with this experience, and will be able to transfer 100 files at once with 2GB data limit.
When this is coming, it is not clear that you can expect it. The publication states that it is not a part of Android 16 QPR1 beta, and therefore it can not be available at any time (including the coming, including the upcoming Pixel 10 Series of equipment). It may be possible that it is a ship with Android 16 QPR2.
