After a meeting with New York City’s Mayorl contender Zohran Mamdani, minority leader rape. Hakim Jeffrees, DN.Y., issued a lukewarm statement about the meeting through a spokesperson and did not support his party candidate.

Charmol said, “The meeting between leader Jeffrees and Assemblyman Mamdani was creative, clear and community-focused, especially focused on strength.
“Leader Jeffreies and Assemblyman Mamdani discussed various other important issues, including public safety, rising antismitism, gentilation and the importance of withdrawing the House in 2026.”
According to Charmol’s statement, the two “agreed to be re-organized soon with other members of the Congress delegation of New York City and some high-level community leaders.”

Mamdani is seen as a controversial candidate by many, partly due to his socialist policy proposals and heavy criticism of the state of Israel. Mamdani, who is a Muslim, has refused to say whether Israel has the right to exist as a Jewish state and has been refused to condemn “Intifada global” to make his initial denying. However, he recently started removing himself from the phrase.
On Thursday, Jeffrees told reporters “as I have done with every high-profile endorsement decision that I have done in the past, I have a sit-down conversation, and then I take it from there.”
The meeting with Jeffrees was followed by Mamdani’s recent visit to Washington, DC, where he participated in a breakfast organized by Okassio-Cortes and got mixed up with some of the party’s most powerful players.
