Hamas has agreed to the latest proposal of regional intermediaries for the hostage release deal with Gaza ceasefire and Israel, a source of the Palestinian Armed Group told the BBC.
According to a Palestinian official familiar with the talks, the proposal of Egypt and Qatar is a comprehensive two-step plan based on a structure advanced by American envoy Steve Witcoff.
It will see Hamas free from half of the remaining Israeli hostages – 20 of which are considered alive – 60 -Divine in two stages during temporary Trus. During that time, there will be talks on a permanent ceasefire and an Israeli contingent withdrawal.
There was no immediate comment from Israeli officials.
On Sunday night, hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Tel Aviv to demand that the Israeli government agreed with Hamas to return the hostages.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the protesters of hardening the situation of Hamas’s conversation.
