An illegal immigrant accused of shipping of firearms, ammunition and other military goods who were hidden inside shipping containers in North Korea were sentenced to eight years in jail on Monday.
42 -year -old Shengua Wayne of Ontario’s Los Angeles suburb was in federal custody since December 2024, convicted for a count of a conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Forces Act (IEEPA) in June and a counting of acting as an illegal agent of a foreign government.
A Chinese citizen, Wayne, entered the United States on a student visa in 2012, and illegally stayed in the US after the visa ended in December 2013, said the Department of Justice.
