Sachs reported that India should not rely on some great trade relations with the US, even if New Delhi can reduce Washington’s dependence on Chinese supply chains.
“When I was in India in spring, I said, don’t trust some great business relations. I am confident, it will be a good partner of the United States because it will be a way for America, I will keep it allaious, will reduce my dependence on China and increase the supply series with India. I did not count on it.”
Donald Trump’s tariff on India

Trump’s decision to punish India came as a conversation between the two countries on a business deal. The US President’s comment is that India’s economy is “dead” and its tariff barriers have “unpleasant” and more stressful relations between the two countries.
India’s Foreign Ministry called additional tariffs “very unfortunate”, as other countries also trade with the Russian Federation.
