These groups have organized comprehensive counseling with the actors of the UN member states and civil society. The conference has attracted global attention, especially after the announcement of French President Emmanuel Macron that France would recognize Palestine as a state, which is the first G7 country to do so. The US has condemned France’s move and will boycott the conference with Israel. The permanent representative of India for the United Nations, P Harish accepted the conference during a recent security council session on the Palestinian question. Harish said, “During the further inclination and attached in a constructive manner, it is our hope that this conference would pave the way for concrete steps towards achieving a two-state solution,” said Harish, while immediately called for the ceasefire and release of the hostages.India, which was one of the 19 countries, was calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in June, has been in regular contact with the work groups and is expected to offer further inputs during the conference. The level of representation of India is still being finalized at the conference. On the issue of Gaza, India balances its growing strategic partnership with Israel and prolonged support for Palestinian cause.
