Apple will manufacture all iPhone 17 models in India, the Tata group emerges as a lead partner as the company intensifies its move away from China.
Apple will build all four iPhone 17 The series model in India for the first time, including two pro variants, before their September launch. Bloomberg reports that the move is an important milestone in Apple’s ongoing strategy to reduce dependence on China for US-bound shipment.
The company now operates five iPhone factories in India, two of which recently opened, as part of large -scale production changes, which aims to fulfill American demand directly from India. The transition is inspired by tariff risk and geopolitical stresses, in which Apple expects a hit of $ 1.1 billion from business duties in the current quarter.

Tata Group Key Apple Partner
The Indian Group Tata Group is ready to play a central role in this expansion, with its features to handle India’s about half the iPhone production within two years. Tata’s Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu and Foxconn’s new hub near Bangalore Airport is already contributing significantly to the output.

Exports from India have increased as a result of this change. Between April and July, the country’s iPhone shipment touched $ 7.5 billion, which was about half of $ 17 billion exported in the last financial year.
