Apple is planning to expand its iPhone’s default app collection with iOS 26 updates by adding two new applications, apple games and previews. These additions will be available directly on the home screen and will also roll for other Apple devices later this year.
Apple game as a central hub
Apple Games will serve as an integrated platform for gaming on Apple device, other media-oriented apps such as Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and Apple Books. The app will have a home tab that provides personal recommendations, updates on gaming events and quick access to favorite.

It will also include an arcade section, which mirrors the existing arcade tab in the app store, and reflects multiplayer games, challenges and game center activity. The library tab will display all installed games with related achievements. Apple game will be compatible with iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Preview app will debut on iOS and iPados
The preview app, a part of Macos for a long time, will first reach iOS and iPados. This will allow users to manage PDFs and images stored locally or in icloud. Facilities will include shaping, rotating and scanning documents, as well as editing capabilities such as PDF autofils and creating new images from scratch or clipboard.

Files opened in files on iOS or iPados will be launched in preview by default. The documents offered in iPados 18, seen in productivity devices such as interface pages and kenots, will follow the browser design.
Apple plans to expand in smart home devices
In related news, reports suggest that Apple is working to strengthen its appearance in the Smart Home Market. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the company is developing AI-powered products such as tabletop robots, home security cameras and a smart speaker.

The tabletop robot is allegedly targeted for the release of 2027. It is an advanced Siri version facility that is capable of interacting with users throughout the day. Initial details suggest that it may be similar to the iPad on a moving arm, which is capable of re -preparing themselves to face the user.
Along with this, Apple is asked to work on a smart speaker with a performance. Although it will lack the moving parts of the robot or connivance capabilities, it is expected to support music playback, note-teching, smart home control and video calls, which will run on a new system called Karishmai.
