Israel’s security cabinet approved a plan to capture Gaza City in the early hours of Friday, increasing the ongoing Israeli war against Hamas.
The announcement came after a full night meeting of the security cabinet after the announcement of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel has planned to resume control over the entire region and eventually handed over it to friendly Arab forces in protest against Hamas.

In addition to carrying out several raids, Israel has repeatedly bombing the city of Gaza since October 7, 2023. Today, it is one of some areas of Gaza that has not been converted into an Israeli buffer zone or placed under withdrawal orders.
