New Delhi: In an important success, the State Investigation Agency of Jammu and Kashmir Police (SIA) caught an over-ground worker (OGW) on Saturday, which was associated with the accused terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen (HIZB).The arrested person was identified as Altaf Hussain Vage, from the Rebon Gund area of Behram, between Shopian. According to a SIA spokesperson, Wagay was working as a sleeper cell for Hizb and was involved in the convenience of terror related activities in the region.The spokesperson said in a statement, “Following tireless efforts, Sia Kashmir has achieved a major success to Altaf Hussain Wage, a resident of Rebon Gund area of Behram in Shopian, in Shopian.”The arrest was made in connection with the ongoing investigation in a case related to terrorism. During the investigation, the agency collected reliable evidence with a direct link to Vage with a Hizb-ul-Mujahideen terrorist handler, which is believed to have been working from across the border.The official said, “At the behest of the terrorist handler, by actively attaching OGW terrorist, illegal and illegal national activities to terrorist conspiracy, by pursuing and advancing anti-India stories,”.Officials believe that Vaga played an important role in spreading extremist ideology and assisting in the revival of the terrorist network in South Kashmir, but maintained a prudent but coordinated communication with handlers outside the country.The SIA stated that further investigation is underway to highlight the wide network of operative and sleeper cells associated with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen in the union region.
