An Idaho judge raised a comprehensive gag order in Brian Kohberger Case of quadruple murder On Thursday.

During the 14 -minute hearing on Thursday morning, 4 District Judge Steven Hippler agreed that raising the gag order would protect the public and the first amendment rights of the press.
Hippler said, “The primary purpose of the non-discomfort order, which is to ensure that we can sit a fair jury, is no longer in the game.” He said that he cannot justify continuing the GAG order as the public has the right to get information about the matter, and they are “paramount”.
Kohaburger’s defense team did not talk much during the hearing, but focused on the high publicity of the case and said that raising the non-avsasad order would be “adding fuel to the fire” ahead of Kohber’s punishment proceedings. Kohberger is sentenced on 23 July.
A separate judge in Moscow, Idaho, originally GAG order issued early In the case, additional publicity may damage the right to the Kohberger’s fair testing.
This week the press filed a resolution to ignore the documents in the case. Hippler denied the proposal, said it ahead of time. He said that after sentencing, he planned to review the seal material in the case to determine whether it can be ignored. The process may take some time, the hippler warned. Kohaburger and state lawyers will be able to object to ignoring anything and can request retracts.
