Exclusive: FBI director Kash Patel said that his agency will continue to put resources in fighting crime in Washington, DC, until “not every community is safe.”
Patel said in a post on X on Wednesday that 550 people have been arrested in Washington, DC as President Donald Trump had transferred the metropolitan police department to make them federal. 66 of those arrests were on Tuesday.
Patel said the FBI was involved in 41 arrests on Tuesday night, in which eight drug seizures and six illegal firearms were recovered.
