Kremlin has followed Donald Trump’s orders to move around two nuclear submarines of Russia, saying that Moscow did not want to join Polimics.
In the first official response since the US President’s comments last Friday, Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov said that American submarines were on duty anyway and dismissed the idea that there was an increase.
Peskov said, “Very complex, very sensitive issues are being discussed, which definitely, very emotionally experienced a lot,” he said – although he said that everyone should be “very cautious” with nuclear rhetoric.
According to Russian media, American envoy Steve Witchoff is due to visiting Russia on Wednesday.
Last week, President Trump ordered two nuclear submarines to be “deployed in appropriate areas”, which he called for “highly stimulating” comments by former Russian President Dimitri Medvedev.
Trump did not say whether he was a nuclear-managed or nuclear-hand submarine.
Medvedev – who has made online extreme statements in recent years – accused Trump of “playing ultimatum games” with Russia, as the US President set a new time limit for Vladimir Putin to end the war with Ukraine.
Without directly referring to Medvedev Spat, Peskov said on Monday that “while members of leadership in every country have different approaches”, the Russian foreign policy was decided by Putin alone.
Medvedev did not react to Trump’s response and has not been active on X since sending objectionable posts.
The relations between the US and Russia have improved significantly after Trump took over in January – although in recent months the US President indicated that he suspects that Putin could not actually be committed to ending the war in Ukraine, which began when Moscow started his full -scale invasion in February 2022.
Now Trump has set a time limit for Russia to reach the peace deal, threatening Moscow to target his oil and other exports with severe tariffs, if a ceasefire does not agree until Friday 8 August.
Nevertheless, Washington and Moscow remain in contact and Peskov welcomed Vitkoff’s journey later this week.
“We are always happy to see Mr. Witcoff in Moscow … We consider such contact to be important, meaningful and useful,” he said, Vitkof and Putin can be found.
Shouldn’t a ceasefire be reached by Friday, Trump has said that it will ban Moscow and secondary tariffs to discourage other countries from doing business with it.
But he has also accepted Russia – now the world’s most accepted country – “was great in avoiding restrictions”.
Since three rounds between Russian and Ukraine, Vasant has failed to end any close struggle.
Only last week Putin reiterated that Russia’s main goal in the war was “to eradicate the causes of the crisis in Ukraine and ensure the safety of Russia”.
Moscimlist military and political pre -condition for peace – became a neutral state including Ukraine, dramatically reducing their army and except for their NATO aspirations – remained unacceptable to Kiev and their Western partners.
