Former British number one Kyle Edmund said, “My body is telling me that it has finally reached the end point” as he declared his retirement from tennis. “
Edmund scored a memorable run in the Australian Open semi -finals in 2018 and was more in the world rankings as 14.
The 30 -year -old, Sir Andy Murray, is only the second British person to reach the last four in Melbourne in the open era.
His subsequent career was interrupted by injuries, in which Edmund was undergoing three knee surgery in the last five years.
Edmund said, “By turning back, I can say that I tried my best in my career and I tried hard to go back where I was,” Edmund said.
“The last five years have taken a toll with three surgery and other injuries such as wrist, AB, hip and leg.
“There is no regrets.”
